Barry R. Norton - Artistic Director Barry is happy to be back with Lakeland Players taking on the role of Artistic Director. No stranger to our stage Barry was last seen as Tevye in Fiddler on The Roof. He will be directing our fall production of Always Patsy Cline. Barry holds a B.A. in Theatre /Directing from Columbia College (85) and an M.A. from Concordia University. At Columbia he studied under the late Sheldon Patinkin and the Steppenwolf Theatre Ensemble. As we once again open our doors after a long time off, our new season of shows promises to be fun, exciting, musical, comical, and a great time for all. Always, Patsy Cline, a musical play created by Ted Swindley, is our first show this fall. The musical play, complete with down home country humor, true emotion and even some audience participation, includes many of Patsy’ unforgettable hits such as “Crazy”, “I Fall to Pieces”, “Sweet Dreams” and “Walking After Midnight”…27 songs in all. “Always…Patsy Cline” is more than a tribute to the legendary country singer ...

Audition dates for Moon Over Buffalo, the outrageous comedy written by Ken Ludwig, have been set. Charlotte and George Hay, an acting couple not exactly the Lunts are on tour in Buffalo in 1953 with a repertory consisting of Cyrano de Bergerac "revised, one nostril version" and Noel Coward's Private Lives. This backstage farce by the author of "Lend Me a Tenor" brought Carol Burnett back to Broadway co-starring with Philip Bosco as her megalomanic, drunken husband and leading man.
